Box Trotters offers the most varied equipment combinations of any company anywhere for our valued customers. Why do we do this? Because not every move is alike and, besides, we may be able to save more money for our customers in one way, while it may cost more the other way. Box Trotters is truly a "One Stop Shopping Resource." For frugal consumers who are interested in finding the best price for the best service, the wide variety of equipment sizes Box Trotters' can provide follow. But first, here is a brief introduction of the two basic ways that your equipment is delivered.
Delivering Your Equipment:
When your equipment is delivered, you choose from one of two options, or a combination of both. These options are called a live load or a Drop and Hook.
The "Live Load Option"
Usually our services can be provided with either loading while the driver waits for you to load, called, logically, a "live load." With a "live load", you typically get 2 Free hours to load and, if you choose, 2 free hours to unload. If you need additional time, of course it can be arranged. Box Trotters' customers typically order the live load option when their parking time is limited, such as in big cities or when they have a crew that's going to be loading them.
The Drop and Hook Service:
The second, and by far the most popular service that Box Trotters' customers choose is called the Drop and Hook Service. With the Drop and Hook Service, your service is typically provided where your container is delivered, the driver disconnects from his trailer, and leaves the trailer for you to load and unload. Once you are loaded or unloaded, the driver returns and picks up the loaded or empty container. This option is also popular because you can order delivery on Friday and keep the container until Monday.

45', 48' and 53' domestic containers are definitely the workhorse of Box Trotters' operations. These sizes are the most popular when Box Trotters customers are shipping a car with their household goods.

53' Moving Van
Many of Box Trotters' customers choose to ship their property on one of our standard 53' moving vans. This is also called our "blanket wrap" service. The standard 53' moving van comes with all of the pads that you need to wrap your furniture. Tie downs and straps, hand trucks and dollies to load and unload, as well as loading ramps are also provided. But, with all of these standard features, our customers expect to pay a little more, for the convenience. Box Trotters' customers buy this service by the foot. With the option of being able to load and unload themselves, and save money on labor, Box Trotters' customers have the benefits of moving with a full service mover's equipment without the extra labor cost.

40' Steamship Container
Now if you're looking for the ideal way to move your personal property and your car, the cheapest way, you will want to consider our 40' ocean container. The 40' ocean container is large enough to hold the personal property of your home, while allowing you to put your car in behind the shipment.

20' Steamship Container Shipped By Railroad.
For smaller shipments, the standard 20' steamship container is the choice among self moving professionals. The 20' steamship container is small enough to be delivered into cramped quarters, such as apartment communities and restricted neighborhoods, yet big enough to hold most 1 to 2 bedroom apartments.
Delivery is typically made with a chassis, featuring wheels, that is pulled with a tractor, in standard 18 wheeler fashion.
