In Easy Steps...
Making a Box Trotters Move Can include Shipping Your Car Inside Your Container for Maximum Savings and protection. Step 1: With the instructions and diagrams provided to you by Box Trotters, you will install the tie down blocks that you will purchase locally from a local hardware store, on to the
floor of your container.
Step 2: (On most applications, you will have loaded all personal property from inside your residence, business, or storage unit in to the front of your container-cars are usually loaded last) You will load your own car either with the assistance of the moving company labor that you hire, or, you will be responsible for loading your car. You will drive or have the tow truck operator winch your car up onto a "roll-back" truck.
Step 3: Once your car is up on the bed of the "roll-back" truck, the operator uses hydraulics to level the bed of the truck.
Step 4: The "roll-back" truck operator slowly and carefully backs the "roll-back" truck to meet the back of the container.
Step 5: The car is driven or pushed into the container from the "roll-back".
Step 6: The car is driven or pushed into the container from the "roll-back".
Step 7: The car is driven or pushed into the container until it is positioned inside the container.
Step 8: One of the most important steps is securing the car. In this shot, you'll see how 2 x 4 wood blocks are screwed down to the floor of the container and around each wheel to prevent the car from moving during transit. You will do install these blocks prior to loading your car.
Step 9: As an added securing step, tie down straps that can be tightened by tensioning ratchets, are tied between the car and the floor of the container. You will purchase these locally, at a hardware store.
And, as you can see, a motorcycle can be added if you prefer.
