Suppose that you are moving a long distance, from Pittsburg, California(A suburb of San Francisco) to Marietta Georgia(A suburb of Atlanta). You estimate that your valuables will require about 24' of space inside some type of truck or trailer. You also plan to move on the 10th of January. Suppose also that Box Trotters has another customer who is moving from San Francisco, CA to Atlanta, GA on the 18th of January and needs 20' of space. From a price standpoint, Box Trotters can get the best price on a 48' container, an ideal size for your shipment and for their shipment. You estimate that you need 24' of space and the other customer, who we already have given a rate on, needs 20' of space. Then here's your chance to bid on the extra space.

Once Started...then what?

Once you enter the link above, you'll find a list of our active records...these are actual quote requests that we have had and that we are working on. Once in our records, you'll see that they are very well organized and that they are categorized in rows and columns. If you will look at the most extreme right column, you'll see that it is labeled "Space for sale." This number is the number of feet that we have for sale in the container. If this fits anywhere close to the size that you need, then you submit your bid. The column to the immediate left includes an email link complete with the shipment number. Click on that link and send us your bid and details.

Your Bidding Strategy

Let's face reality. We operate expensive equipment and machinery. We guarantee that a $1 dollar bid for 24 feet of space in a 48' container going by railroad from Los Angeles, CA to Atlanta, GA will not get noticed too seriously. What we recommend is that you get your best quote from those companies that you consider our competitors. You get their best rate based on a per foot basis, or a percentage of the truck basis, then place your bid on our available space slightly lower than theirs.
